City of Harlingen hosts inaugural Fiesta de Piñatas event

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The City of Harlingen welcomed residents to its inaugural Fiesta de Piñatas event Saturday evening.

Fiesta de Piñatas is an homage to Mexican culture and the Valley community spirit.

Fiesta-goers at the event were welcomed by piñata displays, lucha libre, Mexican artisan vendors, food and live entertainment.

The inaugural event was hosted at the heart of downtown Harlingen along Gutierrez Park.

“We love to make these events available for our entire community to come out and enjoy downtown,” said Alexis Riojas, Director for the City of Harlingen.
