    House fire prompts hospitalization, road closure in Palmview

    PALMVIEW, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A road in Palmview will be closed as first responders work to put out a fire in the area.

    The Palmview Fire Department is working to put out the fire that started on the 2200 block of Abram Road.

    According to city officials, one person has been transported to an area hospital with burns and smoke inhalation.

    Abram Road south of Business 83 will be closed to all traffic until further notice.

    Drivers are asked to avoid this area and find an alternative route.

    The cause of the fire is unknown and will be under investigation by Palmview Fire and the Hidalgo County Fire Marshal’s Office.
