Bee attack hospitalizes 2 in Hidalgo County, officials say

EDINBURG, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Two people have been hospitalized after a bee attack in Hidalgo County.

The incident occurred early Wednesday afternoon at the 7000 block of East State Highway 107, while a man and a woman were doing yard work.

Edinburg city officials say the man was on a tractor and jumped off when he was attacked by the bees and suffered a laceration.

The man is reported to be unconscious and the woman is semi-conscious, according to city officials.

Both victims were transported to DHR for their injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
