DONNA, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A Donna man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in an auto theft.

Raul Serna, 43, was arrested Wednesday after Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious call on the 6000 block of Servenino Street.

When deputies arrived at the scene they learned about a vehicle in the area that matched the description of a recently reported stolen vehicle. The car was found at a nearby residence, where a record check confirmed it had been reported as stolen.

While investigating, deputies also found a second stolen vehicle on the same property.

Three women and one man were detained at the scene for questioning.

The three women were released after questioning. However, after reviewing the evidence Serna was placed under arrest Wednesday evening and booked into the county jail.

Serna was arraigned Friday on two counts of theft and issued a $30,000.00 cash surety bond.

He is currently being held at the Hidalgo County Jail.
