Elderly woman pulled by hair, injures leg, shoulder: CCSO

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman wanted for injury to an elderly, according to a news release.

Around 9:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the 16000 block of State Highway 107 in Harlingen regarding a family disturbance.

While on their way to the location, deputies were advised that the suspect, identified as Sirena Nohemi Resendez, 29, left the location in a black Dodge Charger.

Deputies made contact with the 67-year-old victim who told them Resendez had caused bodily harm to her by grabbing her hair and pulling her down, causing injury to her right leg and right shoulder.

Resendez was located at a nearby convenience store by deputies and placed under arrest. She was charged with injury to an elderly, a 3rd-degree felony.
