RGV LEADS help students with careers after high school

EDINBURG, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Rio Grande Valley Linking Economic and Academic Development hosted a State of Education and Industry event to showcase workforce needs that directly impact students’ futures.

The event was held Tuesday at the Bert Odgen Arena where RGV LEAD helped equip students with skills and credentials needed to succeed in their future.

“We have helped for over 30 years and worked directly with school districts, teachers and educators, to help children strengthen their skill sets as they prepare to embark on their journeys after high school and attain a higher education and career within their respective industry field,” said Marissa De Leon, Board President for RGV LEAD.

De Leon added that RGV LEADS helps students prepare for their next career opportunities and further continue with their education.
