Mosquito spraying underway in San Benito

SAN BENITO, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — San Benito Animal Control Officers are taking advantage of the pause in rainfall to begin spraying the city for mosquitos.

The city is asking that residents be patient as Animal Control works through each zone.

For a more detailed view of the city spraying zones, check out the map below.

Zone 1 will be sprayed on Mondays from 5 to 7 a.m. for residents who live from West Stenger to Expressway 83 and from 9 to 11 p.m. for residents who live from East Stenger to West Business 77.

Zone 2 will be sprayed on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 a.m. for residents who live from South Sam Houston to 8th Street and from 9 to 11 p.m. for residents who live from South Sam Houston to Helen Moore Road.

Zone 3 will be sprayed on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 a.m. for residents who live from North McCullough to Business 77 and from 9 to 11 p.m. for residents who live from North McCullough to Expressway 83.

Zone 4 will be sprayed on Thursdays from 5 to 7 a.m. for residents who live from FM 510 to Lovett Road and from 9 to 11 p.m. for residents who live from Lovett Road to FM 509.

On Fridays areas with the most complaints will be sprayed between 5 to 7 a.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.
