    Teen charged with resisting arrest after alleged fight

    SAN BENITO, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A man was arrested in San Benito after allegedly fighting with a woman and resisting arrest from law enforcement.

    Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched at 11:29 p.m. Tuesday to a residence on Strong Road regarding a fight between men and women.

    When authorities arrived to the scene, they were greeted by a woman who stated she was assaulted by a man and a teenager.

    Deputies conducted a brief investigation and identified the two as brothers Justin Alaniz, 20, and Jayson Alaniz, 17.

    When deputies attempted to detain the teen at his residence, Jayson pulled away and began tensing up his arms and body, authorities say.

    Jayson was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, search or transport, Authorities say he is also pending possible charges for other investigations.
