South Texas Health System hosts career fair for students

EDINBURG, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Students across the Rio Grande Valley were welcomed by South Texas Health System to attend a Robotics Day & Health care Careers Fair in Edinburg.

STHS opened its doors Friday to host the daylong event to elementary, middle and high school students.

Health leaders at STHS taught students about the healthcare system through interactive demonstrations with advanced robotic technology.

At the event, students gained hands-on experience by using Da Vinci 5 Robotic Surgical System.

The new system is the latest advancement in health care technology that allows enhanced precision, control and efficiency in minimally invasive surgeries.
