    Harlingen PD respond to body found at city lake

    HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Harlingen police are investigating the discovery of a body at the city lake.

    Department spokesperson Sgt. Larry Moore told ValleyCentral that the body of a man was found around 6 a.m. by a resident walking along the lake.

    The body was recovered from the water and an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.

    Police said they do not suspect foul play. The next of kin have been notified but authorities have not released the man’s identity.
