    Non-profit hosts run for fallen Cameron County deputy constable

    HAWAII ( ValleyCentral ) — Running 4 Heroes, a national non-profit that supports first responders, is hosting a run in Hawaii to honor the life of a deputy constable who was killed in the line of duty earlier this week.

    Deputy Constable Ruben Garcia was killed Monday evening after his parked patrol unit was rear-ended by a Chervrolet Silverado truck.

    The run will take place at 6:30 p.m. Hawaii time in Honolulu to honor Garcia.

    Running 4 Heroes encourages people to donate to help fund future run events and programs to honor fallen officers across the United States.
