Police began investigating back-to-back burglaries that were reported from several businesses during early morning hours on September 28.

Fuentes and Morales are said to have stolen cash and store items from La Johnny’s True Value, Boost Mobile and Fernandez Grocery Store, all within walking distance of each other, according to police.

Following the first three burglaries, police received reports on Oct. 2 regarding an additional three burglaries, including La Cabana Restaurant, located at 3006 N. Closner Blvd.

Authorities received information the next day on October 3 regarding the suspects’ whereabouts.

The information and video evidence led police to locate Fuentes and Morales.

Both suspects were placed under arrest on unrelated charges and were later linked to the burglaries, police say.

Fuentes was charged with three counts of burglary of a building and two counts of attempted burglary.

Moralez was charged with one count of burglary of a building and two counts of attempted burglary.
