HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Mental Health Day Q&A

The event aims to address mental health issues across various sectors, including schools and the community and features a diverse panel of experts, including a counseling director and local pastors.

The event is free and includes food, giveaways, and resources to help break the stigma around mental health.

The community is encouraged to attend and ask questions, with the hope that open discussion will make it easier for people to seek help.

Attendees will also receive lapel pins and other gifts.

Mark your calendars at the Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For more information call the parks department at (956) 245-1222.
