FM 510 traffic to be detoured Thursday

LAURELES, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced that drivers traveling on FM 510, between San Benito and Bayview, will encounter a detour Thursday.

From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, drivers on FM 510 will be detoured to FM 1575 (Old Alice Road), FM 2893, and FM 1847, and then back to FM 510.

The closure is being requested by a rail company. Rail crews will be doing replanking work at the crossing to enhance safety.
