RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The annual UIL Pigskin Jubilee marching band contest kicks off this Saturday.
The event will take place in four locations. For 2A and 4A bands, the competition will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Lion Stadium, located at 901 N Canal St. in La Feria.
For the UIL Region 28 5A and 6A bands the completion starts at 5 p.m. at the Bobby Morrow Stadium, located at 2025 La Palma St. in San Benito.
The UIL Region 15 East Zone 4A and 6A bands competition begins at 7 p.m. at the McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium, located at 2001 N Bicentennial Blvd in McAllen.
The UIL Region 15 West Zone 4A and 6A band competition begins at 7 p.m. at the Mission Tom Landry Stadium, located at W. 15th Street in Mission.
High School Marching Bands from across the Rio Grande Valley have prepared for this competition since the summer break.
