SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas ( ValleyCentral )—Sea Turtle Inc. is welcoming two new additions to its turtle rescue and rehabilitation center.

On Saturday night, Sea Turtle Inc. announced it had received a new resident: a 115.2-pound sea turtle named Bagua.

Bagua was brought in from Puerto Rico. She entered the water for the first time at the rehabilitation center.

Sea Turtle Inc. spokesperson Wendy Knight said she will not be able to thrive in the wild due to her being blind in one eye and having partial sight in the other.

According to Sea Turtle Inc., Bagua is a victim of poaching and will be at the rehab center at Sea Turtle Inc.

Another addition to the non-profit is a 4.9-pound juvenile green sea turtle named Roscoe.
