A big storm moved across central Illinois on Monday night, bringing broad and severe destruction. The 70 mph wind gusts produced the storm resulted in major harm to trees, electricity lines, and houses. On Tuesday morning, residents found tree limbs strewn about their yards and streets. It was an incredible weather event yesterday. Our entire area, at one point or another, was under a tornado warning, and I can’t remember if that’s ever happened before. Expansion of potential senior property tax relief signed into law
Possible property tax relief for Missouri senior citizens has been broadened. State Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer of Parkville succeeded last year in passing Senate Bill 190 giving counties the option to freeze the property tax assessments of senior citizens.
