MANSFIELD, PA (WENY) -- A fire destroyed the Cherry Flats Baptist Church near Mansfield on Wednesday afternoon. The fire also destroyed a nearby garage and pickup truck. Endwell Man Charged After Drugs, Guns Found in Binghamton Apartment
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says an Endwell man is charged after search warrants were executed in Binghamton and the Town of Union. According to the Task Force, the first warrant was executed Wednesday at 341 Main Street, Apartment 3RE in Binghamton. A .22-caliber revolver, a 9mm handgun, a high-capacity 9mm magazine, approximately 5.2 ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine, over $5,500 in suspected drug proceeds, and other paraphernalia were all found. An additional search warrant was executed in the Town of Union, where an additional approximate $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds was found.

Catholic Charities collecting school supplies for Strong Kids Safe Kids event

The month of July has been a record month for tornados in New York State and another one was confirmed to have touched down earlier this week. The National Weather Service in Buffalo confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down near Orwell, New York. This was the 20th tornado to be confirmed in New York State this month.

A voluntary recall has been expanded due to the potential health threat it poses in New York State. Wiers Farm Inc. of Willard, Ohio, is expanding its July 12, 2024, recall.
