New Iowa traffic cameras law puts Dubuque’s plan on hold
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Dubuque’s plans to install automatic traffic enforcement cameras will have to wait until at least 2026. A new Iowa law limiting how cities and counties can use traffic cameras went into effect July 1st. It creates standards for citations drivers can receive and puts a two year moratorium on new traffic cameras.

Panora Sidewalk Sales Begin Today
Today marks the start of the Panora Sidewalk Sales for this weekend. According to Event Organizer Chelsea Schwartz, businesses and individuals are both invited to participate. They will set up on the sidewalks around the square and the surrounding blocks, and sell items to those who come to enjoy the event. With no set hours, checking social media for the local businesses is a good idea, as they may have self imposed hours for today and tomorrow. Business Owner Tim Heisterkamp to Move Company to Corner Building in Downtown Jefferson
The final corner building on the downtown square in Jefferson is going to house a new business. Tim Heisterkamp is the owner of Journey Financial and has been operating in an over 500 square foot space at Home State Bank since 1998. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the business has since grown to three additional employees and he recently purchased the former Homestead Coffee and Bakery building at the corner of East Lincoln Way and South Chestnut Street. He explains that the bigger building not only allows employees to have nicer offices and a conference room, but he feels it gives him the space for one important aspect.
Memorial Golf Tournament Happening Sunday in Perry
A traditional golf tournament will be happening on Sunday in the City of Perry. The 11th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament is taking place at the Perry Golf & Country Club on Sunday, with a tee time of 7:30am. According to the country club, golfers are free to tee off anytime after 7:30am and the event is open to anyone interested. The tournament features the Championship Flight that will play 27 holes, with the Senior Division, Super Senior Division, and all other flights to play 18 holes.
