Driver charged in Fort Worth high-speed crash that killed 5 people
FORT WORTH – A 19-year-old man is in jail after police say he killed five people, including two children, while driving drunk early Monday morning.Fort Worth police say Eduardo Gonzalez was behind the wheel of a black Chevy Camaro in the northbound lanes of 35W just after midnight when he rear-ended another sedan on the exit ramp to Seminary Drive. GARLAND, Texas — A Sachse family is reunited with their dog this week after it was rescued from a creek Thursday. Joan Landry's dog, Bubba, was spotted by a golfer miles away from home in Rowlett Creek Thursday, according to a press release from the city of Garland. Final Score: Lake Nona High School 17 South Lake High School 15. Game Summary: A big play in the fourth quarter by Lake Nona quarterback Michael Dove was the deciding factor in a very tight game at Eagle Stadium this past Friday. Dove connected on a third and 20 to keep Lake Nona’s drive alive which ended up with a twelve-yard Touchdown run. South Lake had the lead for most of the night keeping Dove and company in check until midway through the third quarter. The Eagles got on the board first when Kicker Chris McKenna hit a 25-yard field goal which ended the first quarter 3-3. Tre Kelly hooked up with wide receiver Kendrick Powell on a 15-yard touchdown pass in the second corner and the the Eagles took the lead into half time 9-3. Kelly and Powell connected on multiple occasions in the game for some big plays. Lake Nona would score twice in the third quarter giving them a 17-9 lead going into the fourth. The Eagles would move down the field in the fourth quarter with Kelly connecting to Powell, Tyger Darden, Izaiah Henderson and Marcel Walker. Kelly plunged in from the one-yard line to make the score 17-15. The Eagles would fail on the two-point conversion.

Texas Teachers Are The Most Overworked In The U.S.
It certainly appears that we aren't taking very good care of our teachers. A number of Texas school districts have kicked off the school year. This type of thing would never be on my radar, except for the fact that a number of teachers posted their Amazon wish lists online in order to receive a little help. If you're unfamiliar with the phenomenon, the teachers are so desperate for classroom basics that they are turning to their communities for a little support. I have to say, it's a bit embarrassing that the State Of Texas doesn't give teachers what they need to do their jobs.
