    14-year-old killed in Tuscaloosa County crash

    TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon has left a Vance teenager dead.

    According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a 14-year-old passenger was killed when a Chevrolet SSR left the roadway and overturned around 5:30 p.m. on Clements Road.

    The teen was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, who was also 14 years old, was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

    The crash occurred near Hagler Coaling Road, three miles east of Tuscaloosa. Nothing else is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
