Update: South Alabama under a heat advisory Wednesday
On Tuesday at 7:34 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory valid for Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia, Covington, Mobile and Baldwin counties. The weather service comments, "Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected."

GULFPORT, Miss. – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has activated the Silver Alert notification on behalf of the Gulfport Police Department. Broderick Keyshawn Mays of Gulfport, Mississippi, was last seen on Monday, July 1, at about 4:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Louisiana Avenue in Harrison County, walking north on Hwy 49 near Polk Street. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt, blue jeans, white socks, and black sandals.
