The two Thunder runs scored on a passed ball and a sacrifice fly by JJ Thompson.</p><p>Skyview’s Jack Santic doubled with one out in the fourth and scored on an error to put the Storm (5-4) back on top.</p><p>Then Poffenroth and Gilton added on with their homers.</p><h2>Stars of the day</h2><ul><li><b>Derek Tarnoski, King’s Way Christian baseball,</b> pitched three no-hit innings with three strikeouts and was 2 for 2 at the plate with an RBI in the Knights’ 4-3 loss to University Prep in Seattle.</li><li><b>Nate Merritt, Prairie baseball,</b> went 4 for 4 with a double and two RBI in the Falcons’ 6-5 loss to Peninsula.</li><li><b>Chris Parkin, Columbia River baseball,</b> struck out the side in the seventh inning with two runners on base to help preserve the Rapids’ 5-2 win over Barlow (Ore.). He was also 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored.</li><li><b>Faizah Ford, Battle Ground girls track &amp; field,</b> placed second out of 33 competitors in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 16 feet, 10 inches and was second out of 28 in the triple jump with a mark of 34-5 at the Chehalem Classic in Newberg, Ore.</li></ul></div></body>
