<body><div><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=2Un3A1_0nmIXCRN00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2Un3A1_0nmIXCRN00" width="1900" height="1069" ></figure>VANCOUVER, Wash. — A vehicle crashed into a Vancouver home Thursday evening, killing a person inside and a family pet, according to authorities.The vehicle crashed into the home at 2607 Unander Ave. at around 6:40 p.m.Vancouver police said the driver was impaired and traveling fast when they hit a curb, crashed through a fence and then into the home.Police said the person who was killed was a woman and she died at the scene.The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.The fire department sent its heavy rescue and technical team to make sure the home didn’t collapse as first responders went inside to get people out.Two other people who lived in the home were displaced, firefighters said.Police said once the driver is released from the hospital, they will face charges of DUI and vehicular homicide.Officers did not release the driver's name Thursday night.A short time later, another driver crashed nearby.Hailey Dale, who lives nearby, said she didn't see the first crash - but as she and her boyfriend were checking it out, she said someone driving a white Honda flew past them on Fruit Valley Road, almost hit two police cars, sounded like it clipped the back end of a fire truck, went through the intersection, over a ditch, almost hit a tractor-trailer and then crashed.Police have not released any details about that crash or whether anyone was injured."I see people flying down this intersection all the time, so I'm surprised this is the first time we've seen something happen," Dale said.</div></body>
