Fred Holtmann, age 58, passed away on April 11, 2024, in Vancouver, Washington, with family by his side.

Fred was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on Dec. 17, 1965. He was the youngest of four children born to Bill and Judy Holtmann (Nichols). He grew up in Anchorage, enjoying all the great outdoor adventures Alaska had to offer. His love for fishing, hunting, boating and more were just some of the activities he enjoyed in Alaska and Washington. During high school, he moved from Anchorage to Ridgefield, Washington, where he lived with his father, Bill, and stepmom, Lillian Holtmann (Simasko). He attended Ridgefield High School and graduated in 1986, where he played basketball as a “Spudder” and made lifelong friends. He later became a realtor, then a property appraiser, working in the Clark County area.

Fred was married to Amy Tenney for 10 years. They had two sons. Fred is survived by his sons, Carsen and Kass Holtmann; mom, Judy Nichols; sister Marci Wright and husband, George; brother Dean Holtmann and wife, Cyndie; nieces and nephew, Chantelle, Tania, Brandon, Kelsie and Jaimme; stepmom, JoAnne McBride-Holtmann; along with many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Holtmann, and sister Tamara Holtmann.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.

The family would like to thank all the teams and staff working with and for Cascade Life Alliance and PeaceHealth Southwest.
