Cars lined up for several blocks to try Washington’s first Raising Cane’s at 12601 SE Second Circle, Vancouver, on its July 16 opening. Washington State Patrol officers directed traffic away from Mill Plain Boulevard throughout the day.

Regarding turnout, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Vice President of Company Restaurants Jason Zwerin called the opening a huge success. He remarked the new restaurant brought approximately 150 jobs to Vancouver.

“We’re excited to start working with our local community,” Zwerin told The Reflector. “We do a lot of things out here and work with different organizations including schools and churches.”

In its first act of community involvement, Raising Cane’s staff handed a $5,000 check to the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Washington. The new restaurant held a photo booth and merchandise giveaway for guests to celebrate its opening, as well.

“It’s great to see this many people are willing to come out on these long nights and be very patient and excited to try Raising Cane’s for the first time,” Zwerin said.

    Raising Cane’s is open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
