“Yellowstone” may not be over, after all.

Despite initially labeling its next installment as the final season, Taylor Sheridan’s Western mega-hit may return for Season 6, with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser in talks for top billing, sources tell Variety .

No deals are in place as of yet, but the plan is for “Yellowstone” to continue beyond Season 5B, which airs Nov. 10 on Paramount. Reilly plays Bethany “Beth” Dutton, the daughter of Costner’s John Dutton III. Hauser plays Rip Wheeler, Beth’s wife and an employee and “fixer” of Dutton Ranch.

Paramount did not return Variety ‘s request for comment.

Kevin Costner exited “Yellowstone” after five and a half seasons and will not appear in the final batch of episodes. Costner has said he chose to depart the series due to Paramount’s choice to split Season 5 into two parts, which the actor said interfered with his work on his four-part Western film series, “Horizon: An American Saga.” As “Yellowstone” was filming its final episodes, Costner was still expressing a desire to close his arc as the ranch-owning patriarch John Dutton, but he and the network were ultimately unable to come to terms.

Meanwhile, a new “Yellowstone” spinoff titled “The Madison” was announced earlier in August. That show, which was previously in development under the title “2024,” will star Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox, and follow a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana. According to Paramount, “the series is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection.”

“The Madison” joins “Yellowstone” spinoffs “1883” and “1923” — while more series set in the television universe are in development.

Puck first reported the news of a potential sixth season of “Yellowstone.”
