“Let’s go, girls” will have greater application than ever when Shania Twain comes to Brandi Carlile’s annual Girls Just Wanna Weekend. Twain is possibly the biggest star yet to join the lineup, six years into a festival that features female, female-fronted or non-binary acts, not to mention an audience that largely “feels like a woman,” in the words of the poet.

Other top-billed artists joining Twain and Carlile on the 2025 lineup include Maren Morris, Muna, Lucius, Brandy Clark and Brittney Spencer.

The sixth annual festival will take place Jan. 16-20, 2025 at Barceló Maya Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The roster is rounded out by SistaStrings, Tish Melton, Jensen McRae, Allison Ponthier, Arroba Nat, Yasmin Williams, the Carlile Family Band and the Marshgrass Mamas, with comedian Kristen Key signed on for a comedy set.

Clark, Lucius, SistaStrings and Melton will be making return visits after having put in appearances at the 2024 edition of the festival, which also featured Allison Russell, Janelle Monae, Sarah McLachlan, Mary Chapin Carpenter and others.

Carlile always performs multiple sets at the festival. That abundance of performances by the festival founder and curator will be especially welcome for fans on the heels of a year that Carlile mostly took off from doing live shows, although she headlined Red Rocks and did a few other one-offs. Prior to Girls Just Wanna, Carlile will be seen performing alongside Joni Mitchell at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 19-20.

“Each year, Girls Just Wanna Weekend grows into something even more special – a space where music, love, and inclusivity shine,” said Carlile in a statement. “This lineup is a dream come true, and I’m so proud to share it with a community that means the world to me.”

100x Hospitality is producing the festival, which, publicity materials note, caters to a predominantly (but far from entirely) LGBTQ+ audience. Information on all-inclusive travel and ticket packages can be found here .
