Fox News Media wants to habla with more viewers.

The Fox Corp. unit plans to launch “Fox Noticias,” a new one-hour Spanish-language program for the Fox Deportes cable outlet. The show is billed as a forum that “spotlights issues impacting the Hispanic community,” and will be hosted by Rachel Campos-Duffy, one of the co-hosts of the weekend broadcast of “Fox & Friends.”

The show’s debut, slated for October 15, will feature an interview with Jose Raúl Mulino, the newly elected President of Panama. The program will also include highlights of the major sports matchups of the day from the award-winning Fox Deportes team.

“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to host ‘Fox Noticias,'” said Campos-Duffy, in a statement. ” As the fastest growing electorate, accounting for nearly 20% of the population, the Hispanic American community is thriving, and I am proud to bring a new show that breaks down the news of the day with a focus on the kitchen table issues that matter most to our community.”

Launch of the program comes as Fox News Media has been placing more emphasis in recent months on its ability to reach broader audiences than just the conservative crowd it has been known to attract. In recent calls with investors, Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch has cited research showing that Fox News reaches significant numbers of independent voters, and even Democrats. Citing Nielsen, Fox News said that during the third quarter, it reached 36% of Hispanic cable-news viewers overall and 45% of people between 25 and 54 watching cable news — the demographic most coveted by advertisers.

Like its rivals, Fox News has explored new ways to reach audiences who may not view its programming in the traditional way, via a cable or satellite subscription. The company has expanded offerings in audio, in books, and via digital media, including a subscription-based streaming outlet, Fox Nation, and a live-streamed Fox Weather service.

“Fox Noticias” will also be distributed on Noticias.FOXNews.com, Fox Nation and a devoted YouTube page, as well as via clips made available via Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and Snapchat. The show will be featured on the Fox Sports App as well as on FOXDeportes.com.
