Hit-and-run in Seattle’s Lake City kills one early Monday morning
A man was killed in a hit-and-run in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood at the intersection of Northeast 125th Street and 30th Avenue Northeast Monday morning. Officers found a 33-year-old man lying in the road when they responded to the crash at approximately 4:45 a.m. Monday. Crews gave him life-saving aid at the scene, but he was pronounced dead before being transported to a local hospital.

Its summer schedule of classes includes a pie camp where teens make sweet and savory pies from scratch and a "world tour" for kids and teens who will cook their way through cuisines from Morocco, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, and Italy. The multiday classes run about 2½ hours per lesson; classes are held at PCC locations in Seattle and on the Eastside.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Jianna Evaristo raced her Scrappers Racing Buell to a quarterfinal finish, setting new track records in both speed and elapsed time while her sister, Jasmine Salinas, achieved a new personal best speed behind the wheel of her Scrappers Racing Top Fuel dragster.
