Seattle's green spaces are about to get a little bit of a management makeover, or so it seems, given the latest stir from the Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR). They've officially called for proposals in their hunt for a management firm adept at handling not just the fairways and greens but also the dollar signs and customer smiles of their municipal golf courses. In the words of the RFP, this firm will take up the reins of "day-to-day operations" including the standard fare of driving ranges, pro-shops, and those post-game clubhouses, where the 19th hole can often be found. Home values across Western Washington are generally up for 2024, but how much depends on the community. Meanwhile, many office spaces and condos are showing a decline in value. "After dramatic fluctuations in the residential market during the Covid years, values have returned to a steady level of increase," King County Assessor John Wilson said in a statement. "The volatility now is in the commercial sector and among condominiums."
