ERIK MUROMURILLO

Year: Senior

Sport: Track and field

Comment: The senior earned his first CIF-Southern Section individual title by winning the Division 2 shot put with a throw of 55 feet, 5.50 inches, at the Divisional Track and Field Finals on Saturday at Moorpark High. MuroMurillo also finished third in the discus (157-5) to help Ventura capture the team title. He was the Channel League champion in the shot put and discus.

VALENTINA FAKROGHA

School: Ventura

Year: Senior

Sport: Track and field

Comment: The senior won her second straight CIF-Southern Section girls high jump title, taking the Division 2 crown by clearing 5 feet, 6 inches, at the Divisional Track and Field Finals on Saturday at Moorpark High. Fakrogha also placed third in the 400 with a time of 55.44 seconds. She won Channel League titles in the high jump and 400.
