    Dodgers play the Mets tonight in New York. Here's how to watch

    The Los Angeles Dodgers crushed the New York Mets 8-0 on Wednesday and will compete again tonight as the Dodgers look to take control of the series.

    With the win at Citi Field in New York, Los Angeles has a 2-1 lead in the National League Championship Series.

    The Dodgers won with the help of superstar Shohei Ohtani hitting a three-run home run in the eighth inning of the game. Dodger Kiké Hernández smacked a two-run homer in the sixth and teammate Max Muncy hit a homer in the ninth.

    Pitcher Walker Buehler (4.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 6 K) began the game for the Dodgers while Michael Kopech (1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 K) earned the win . Mets pitcher Luis Severino (4.2 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 3 K) was credited for the loss.

    How can I watch the Dodgers game today?

    The teams will play at 5:08 p.m. Thursday on the Fox Sports 1 network in New York, according to the Major League Baseball website .

    The Dodgers will start right-handed pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto (7-2, 3.00 ERA in the regular season). The Mets will start left-handed pitcher Jose Quintana (10-10 3.75 ERA in the regular season).

    When does the series return to Los Angeles?

    If needed, the teams will play a game six at 5:08 p.m. Sunday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The game will be televised on FS1.

    A game seven, if needed, is set for 5:08 p.m. Monday at Dodger Stadium and will be broadcast on FOX.

    Tickets for both games are sold out via mlb.com but wheelchair accessible seats are available. Game six wheelchair-accessible tickets start at around $500. Game seven wheelchair tickets start at around $350.

    If the Dodgers make it past the Mets, they would play in the World Series. The Dodgers, founded in 1883, have won eight World Series titles. Their last title was in 2020.

    When does the World Series begin?

    The World Series begins Oct. 25. Exact times and teams will be announced later. All games are on FOX.

    Game two is set for Oct. 26 and game three is scheduled for Oct. 28. Game four is Oct. 29.

    If needed, game five is on Oct. 30 and game six is set for Nov. 1.

    A game seven, if necessary, is scheduled for Nov. 2.
