BUSINESS OF THE MONTH: Royview Country Club
Imagine playing nine holes of golf for $3. Or better yet, playing ALL DAY for $5. This is how much it cost to golf at the Roykota Golf Course when it opened in the late 1980s. Years later, it might cost a little more to golf, but the course and its clubhouse, located on Roy Lake two miles south of Lake City, are still going strong, thanks to many dedicated individuals. The business, now known as Royview Country Club, is vibrant and has a promising future.
Longtime Afghan restaurant to close
After almost 20 years in business, Arian Wisaal is closing his Afghan restaurant. The final day for Khorasan Kabob House at 923 S. Marion Road is July 21. “We tried the restaurant business, but it just didn’t work out like we want,” Wisaal said of he and his wife, Tamana.

The food truck Tacos de Gringo has gone out of business abruptly after three years of serving street tacos with a chef’s touch. Ken Leonard and his wife, Calain, started the business after selling their house in Arizona and moving to Sioux Falls four years ago.
