Man dies from injuries in Codington County crash
WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – An 88-year-old man passed away on Wednesday from injuries he received in a two-vehicle crash near Watertown. The crash happened around 10 a.m. on June 27. The driver of a 2022 AGCO Terragotor crop sprayer was making a left turn from 455th Avenue into a field approach when the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox attempted to pass and collided with the tractor.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Many local businesses and offices will be closed this week due to the Independence Day holiday. While most banks, such as Wells Fargo and First National Bank, will be closed in observance of the federal holiday, nationwide stores such as Target, Scheels and Walmart will remain open with local store hours varying. Federal offices, such as the United States Postal Service, will be closed.

Tracking spotty showers and storms this weekend
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -- We’ll keep that trend of scattered showers and t-storms going into the weekend with the better chances for these pop up storms occurring during the afternoon and early evening hours thanks to the heating of the day. Highs this weekend will top out in the upper 70s to near 80. Chances for showers and storms will also occur during Sunday afternoon as well. The threat for severe weather is much lower so we shouldn’t have to worry about that.
Fireworks possible cause of Hartford structure fire
HARTFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Authorities say fireworks are the possible cause of a fire at a home near Hartford early Friday morning. According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, they were dispatched to the area of East Shore Place at 2:42 a.m. on July 5 for a structure fire.
