Falcons WR Rondale Moore Suffers Season-Ending Knee Injury
The Falcons swapped Desmond Ridder for Rondale Moore this offseason and on the surface, it looked like a great deal for Atlanta . Except for the part where the former Purdue product has already been lost for the season before the Falcons even played a preseason game.
Moore suffered a non-contact injury in practice and was carted off the field. It’s now been confirmed that the new Falcons receiver is done for the season.
Adam Schefter was the first to report the news:
Injuries suck and this news really sucks. Moore had a chance to be a really important part of this offense. Mostly because he provides what they’re missing. The Falcons lack speed on offense and Moore could have been a chess piece to provide that element. Now he’s done and Atlanta will need to rely on the likes of Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud to really pick up the slack.
Send some thoughts and prayers my way too if you don’t mind. Sorry for this part of the rant in advance but Moore was going to be my last roster spot in fantasy this year. I was hoping for a breakout season and now that dream is officially dead.
Moore, 24, has 135 receptions and 1,201 receiving yards during his three year career thus far. 2024 will now be a wash which will conclude the end of his rookie contract. It remains to be seen what happens once Moore is fully recovered from the injury but there’s no need to speculate on that right now.
