Josh Allen is very underpaid and could complain about it but has no interest in doing so. Here’s what the Bills QB said about his contract. (Rich Storry-USA TODAY Sports)

Josh Allen Isn’t Complaining About His Contract And Easily Could

In terms of average annual value, Josh Allen is the 13th highest paid quarterback in the league sitting at $43 million. He’s incredibly underpaid considering he’s the only quarterback in the league who can stack up to what Patrick Mahomes provides. He’s the hardest player in the league to tackle coming off a season where he just scored 44 touchdowns last regular season.

This is what Allen had to say about his deal in a recent interview:

“Listen, everyone’s going to have their day ,” Allen said Tuesday, via Jonah Bronstein of WIVB. “I’m happy that everyone’s getting what they’re worth, right? And I think that as the game progresses and guys keep getting paid, the market is the market.

“I’ve got no problem with where I’m at right now. And, you know what, I had my day a couple years ago, and I’m sure someday I’ll have it again. But I think the main thing is the main thing, and that’s playing football to the best of my ability, and everything else will take care of itself.”

You can’t buy class and Allen has it in spades. Just incredible self-awareness here. Easy for the entire team to rally around, which has been the case for years now with Allen under center.

Now if Trey were advising him I’d tell him to use his leverage to get that idiot Sean McDermott fired so that Bill Belichick can coach the team instead but that’s a story for another day.

Josh Allen Basically Admits He Doesn’t Need The Preseason

Allen , 28, signed a $258 extension in 2021 but with the exploding QB market, he certainly deserves a raise. If the Bills are smart, they get him taken care of sooner rather than later. Except for the part where they screwed up their cap having tons of dead money on the books with Tre’Davious White, Stefon Diggs, and the disaster that is Von Miller .
