Vendetta Sports Media Fantasy Football 2024: Team Rankings

Vendetta Sports Media’s company fantasy football league is back. The site has compiled eight of its bloggers to see who will win this season. As last year’s winner, I am in charge of ranking the teams heading into the year. It’s a tough task that will surely make people upset, but I am up to the challenge. You can find the league’s setting below.

    • Eight-man league
    • Non-PPR
    • Auction draft with a $250 budget
    • Superflex lineup with a 20-man roster (No defenses)
      • QB
      • RB
      • WR
      • TE
      • Superflex
      • Four Flex
      • K
      • 11 Bench
    • Best Ball
    • You can drop players but they count against your cap unless they are on IR when you drop them.
    • Touchdown Premium
    • No negative points for turnovers

Make sure to check out the live stream of the draft !

    No. 1: James (Myself)

I may be biased in putting myself atop our fantasy football team rankings. At the same time, my wide receiver core includes Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The running back room is slim as a result, but this league format only forces one running back to start every week.

    No. 2: Trey

Trey falls in the second spot in our fantasy football team rankings because he has a balanced roster with strong talent at every position. The quarterback room is thin, but Josh Allen should hold one spot down each week. The running back room is stacked with Christian McCaffrey at the top of the group. The wideouts feature a strong top three. Plus, the bottom portion of his receiver core includes players who could have massive weeks and break into the starting lineup.

    No. 3 Garrett

The No. 3 spot in the VSM fantasy football team rankings goes to Garrett. The highlight of his team is his wide receiver depth. The depth of this group makes it likely he will get strong production of out that position every week. Still, his running back room has enough talent to provide value as well.

    No. 4: Chickster

Chickster’s team will fall in the No. 4 spot of our VSM fantasy football team rankings. Despite being halfway through the rankings, this is still a strong roster. The wide receiver room is a strong group of players. The pairing of Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr should produce fantasy points. The remainder of the position group features players who could go off for massive points at any moment. Mike Williams and Christian Watson are ideal in best-ball leagues. The running back position includes players like Nick Chubb and Zamir White who could easily outproduce their prices. Lastly, his quarterbacks should produce big numbers weekly.

One compliment I have to give Chickster is that he perfectly set up his first waiver wire addition. The moment he wants to add a player, he will not have to think twice about dropping Quentin Johnston. What a way to think ahead.

    No. 5: Matt Matt

Matt falls in the five spot in the VSM fantasy football team rankings. I like a lot of players on this roster. That mostly includes the top-end talent. The best examples are Patrick Mahomes, Bijan Robinson, Breece Hall, and Ceedee Lamb. My issue is that this team is not as strong with the players that will be needed to round out the starting lineup every week.

    No. 6: Jackson Law

Jackson Law’s team sits in the sixth spot in our VSM fantasy football team rankings. My issue with this roster is that it lacks high-end talent. Tyreek Hill is an amazing fantasy asset, but that’s it. Jackson Law left the draft with $67 in his pocket. That’s enough leftover money to add serious talent. Still, this team will win games because of depth. That is especially true at the wide receiver position. I am less confident his running backs will produce league-winning numbers.

    No. 7: Hanifan

The No. 7 position in our fantasy football rankings belongs to Matt Hanifan. I may be biased in my evaluation of Hanifan’s team. We simply approached roster construction in opposite ways. That difference is evident in his wide receiver room. The group does not have any elite fantasy options. It will take a lot of production from his running back group to mask that. Similarly to Jackson Law, he left the draft with a lot of money in his pocket and that can be seen in the amount of top-end talent on his roster.

    2024 Matthew Berry Challenge

    No. 8: Chad Bauman

The team that sits at the bottom of our fantasy football ranking is Chad’s team. I actually do not think Chad’s team is horrible. The problem is that he spent $25 on Chigoziem Okonkwo. That was the most spent on a tight end in the draft. Did it create the funniest moment of the entire draft? Yes, but it also forces me to put him in last place.
