Payton Thorne Sucks So Bad He Got Venmo Requests From Auburn Fans

Auburn lost to Cal this past week as a double-digit favorite and the only takeaway anybody could have is that Payton Thorne sucks. I talked about it plenty in the Stock Report notes . The only weird part is that I’m not sure why anybody is surprised because it was something we talked about even last year. Thorne is totally unplayable and it’s a stain on the program Auburn even considered starting him again this year.

As harsh as that is to say, maybe I didn’t even push the envelope enough on truly how bad that guy is. Apparently, Thorne sucks so bad that his own fan base sent him multiple Venmo requests.

I’m sure you have plenty of thoughts on that video. I don’t know what more needs to be said on my end that doesn’t transfer over into crossing the line. The guy is trash and there is no way around it. Thorne threw four picks in the game against Cal in a dreadful performance that included a 28.9 QBR. We’re talking about a 23-year-old here that has been around forever. At some point, enough is enough. They’re wasting time by starting him. It is what it is.

It’s time for Hugh Freeze to look himself in the mirror. If they keep trotting that dead corpse out there, he’s going to lose the locker room. A locker room that actually has an infusion of young talent emerging. Turn the page and go land Deuce Knight to be the guy of the future. Going down in flames the rest of the year with Thorne isn’t going to help those matters.
