Celebrate cultures from around the world

Enjoy a family-fun journey of international cuisine, cultural crafts, live performances, educational displays and more when Fishermen’s Village and the Cultural Heritage Center of Southwest Florida presents the 6th Annual International CultureFEST on Oct. 12.

Attendees are invited to wear traditional attire representing their cultural heritage and to join the “Parade of Nations” at noon.

Live entertainment at the Sunset Beach Club Stage includes:

1 p.m. — Traditional Chinese opera snippet by Christina Mundy, Belly Dance Connection of SWFL, Asian Community Dance Crew and the Kellyn Celtic Dance Academy.

2 p.m. — An international dance medley with Tricolor Dancers, Kasayahan Filipino Dance Troupe, Amelia Delahaye Kellyn Celtic Arts, ShimmyBOOM Bellydance, Caia Tribal Troupe, Kharizma-Sultan’s Dreams, Belly Dance Connection SWFL, Sthira Sukha, Beija-Flor Performing Arts, Jemma Farray, Surang Wood, Hula Connection of SWFL and Roxxana Ortega

4 p.m. — Sthira Sukha Nomad Grooves

5 pm. — Vocalist/musician Maritza Cedeno from Chone, Ecuador.

The event will be hosted by Jaha Cummings, President of the Cultural Heritage Center, and Pearl Cruz-Morrison, Director of Cultural Affairs.
