Fatal 4th of July accident claims the life of a 27-year-old
Thursday, a 27-year-old Red Wing man was killed in a tree climbing accident in Fleming Township, Aitkin County. The man has been identified as Henry M. Cannon. He was celebrating the 4th of July with several friends and was climbing a large white pine tree in a yard on the shores of Gun Lake. An estimated 2” diameter branch that he was climbing broke, and he fell approximately twenty-five feet to the ground.

Family confirms missing man has been found dead in the Red River
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Early Friday morning, a family member of Arthur Wiebe confirmed that his body had been pulled from the Red River. On Wednesday, the Moorhead Police Department pushed out that they needed the public’s help in finding Arthur. Police said that Arthur was last seen in the 4100 block of 34th Ave. S. in Moorhead on July 1st.

Statewide Missing Persons Alert For Missing Minnesota Teen
Moorhead, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide missing person alert was issued today by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for a young man who was last seen on Monday. The BCA issued the alert on behalf of the Moorhead Police Department, which has been actively searching for 19-year-old Arthur Wiebe. He was last seen Monday night walking away from his family's shop in Moorhead.

But two systems will pass through this weekend, keeping Minnesota in an unsettled pattern. Storm chances will be greatest during the afternoon but will drop off in the evening.Temps will stay on the cooler side of average in the 70s through the weekend before hitting the 80s next week, when a high pressure system moves in and rain chances move out.
