VERMILLION, S.D. (USD) — South Dakota alumna Tori DePerry has signed a professional contract in Portugal with CP Natação. The team is part of Portugal’s top division.

DePerry will be the first Coyote alumna to play in Portugal since Tempestt Wilson (2013-14) and the 11th Coyote alumna to play overseas since 2008. DePerry is the second Coyote to sign in Europe from the Coyotes’ 2024 senior class. Alumna Madison Grange signed with the Marble City Hawks in Kilkenny, Ireland, earlier in May.

“I am so blessed to be able to continue to play the sport I love at the highest level professionally overseas for CP Natação in Portugal,” said DePerry. “I am extremely grateful for my family, coaches, teammates and God who have supported me and placed me to be in the position I am today. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and I cannot wait to hit the court and represent for all generations as an indigenous woman. Dream big!”

A native of Shawano, Wisconsin, DePerry joined the Coyotes as a graduate transfer last season from Saginaw Valley State. She averaged 7.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 2023-24. In her collegiate career, she totaled 1,424 points and 768 rebounds.
