Indy Pass Adds Ten New Ski Resorts From Vermont to Japan

The Indy Pass , a popular ski pass that provides access to independent alpine and cross country ski areas across the globe, is expanding.

POWDER has learned via press release on July 1st, 2024 that ten ski areas from Maine to Japan will join the pass for the Winter '24/'25 season. They are as follows:

• Anihari Ski Resort, Japan
• Camden Snow Bowl, ME
• Cape Smokey, NS
• Hatley Pointe, NC
• Maiko Snow Resort, Japan
• Middlebury Snowbowl, VT
• Mt. Abram, ME
• Nayoro Piyashiri Ski Resort, Japan
• Palcall Tsumagoi Resort, Japan
• Ragged Mountain, NH

The Indy Pass roster now stands at 200+ ski areas across the globe. Pass holders get two days of skiing or riding at each ski area with or without blackout dates, depending on which product they purchase.

Among the newly added ski areas, Ragged Mountain, NH and Mt. Abram, ME will be welcomed additions to an already-stacked roster of New England ski areas. Following their inclusion, the Indy Pass now offers partner or 'Allied' access to over 40 alpine and cross-country ski areas from New York to Maine.

Further south, the Indy Pass is expanding its offering in North Carolina with the addition of the newly-named Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort . Formerly known as Wolf Ridge, the decaying ski resort is being resurrected by new ownership that's putting an emphasis on creating a 'boutique' experience.

Also worth noting is the addition of four Japanese ski resorts: Anihari, Maiko Snow Resort, Nayoro Piyashiri and Palcall Tsumagoi Resort. They bring Indy's total Japan offering to twelve ski areas, far more than any other pass on the market.

The Indy Pass has been sold out for months, but sales will resume July 1st-July 4th thanks to the addition of these new resorts. Full details below on who can purchase an Indy Pass over the coming days:

• July 1-4 - Waitlist only
• July 3-4 - Partner season pass holders may purchase AddOn Passes at a 25% discount
• July 4 - General public sale while supplies last.

Indy Pass has not released an official tally of their resorts at this time. When asked how many ski areas pass holders can expect for next season, an Indy Pass representative responded with the following via email: "We’ll have a minimum of 200 when the season starts."

Pass holders can request a refund if the Indy Pass has less than 200 ski areas by November 15, 2024. Refunds must be requested before December 1, 2024.

The press release shared with POWDER alludes to the Indy Pass continuing to expand in the future. A quote by Indy Pass director Erik Mogensen teases it further: “Our team is 100% focused on growing the value of the Indy Pass. We are not done.”
