TOWN OF JEFFERSON, Wis. (WEAU) - One person is hurt after a motorcycle crash in Vernon County on July 7. According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, the rash happened on County Road Y in the Town of Jefferson around 3:00 p.m. The sheriff said 41-year-old Jonathon Wickus of Rollingstone, MN entered a restricted area, traveling down the concrete overflow spillway where he lost control and crashed into a grassy area.

A 41-year-old Rollingstone, Minnesota, man was injured during an off-road motorcycle crash July 7 in Vernon County. According to the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, Jonathon Scott Wickus was riding a 2016 Yamaha YZ450 motorcycle on Highway Y in the town of Jefferson around 3 p.m., when he drove into a restricted area of the Runge Hollow Dam in the Bad Axe River watershed. Wickus traveled down the concrete overflow spillway, lost control and crashed in a grassy area.
