Soon after SpaceX launched its mammoth Falcon Heavy rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center with a weather satellite on top, the space agency is readying for another launch this week.

SpaceX Falcon Heavy lifted off − more powerful than its Falcon 9 − at 5:26 p.m. EDT Tuesday, June 25, carrying GOES-U, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellite that will study weather phenomena. Next up is a SpaceX Starlink mission Thursday, June 27, from Cape Canaveral. SpaceX has not announced a launch time, yet the Geospatial Navigational Warning and FAA Advisory states the launch window opens at 7 a.m. EDT.

Visibility in Indian River County, St. Lucie County and Martin County, part of the Treasure Coast, will depend on weather conditions, and people should make sure not to block traffic or rights of way on bridges and to follow posted rules at beaches.
