Big Change Coming to Popular Airline Serving Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts
Over the last few decades, we have seen the airline industry change a lot. Just after September 11, we saw a series of new safety regulations put in place. These were, of course, done in an effort to prevent future terrorist attacks. A few years later, we began to see...
One of the Last RadioShacks in Maine Announces It Will Close
In the early '80s, there was a boom of RadioShack stores opening in Maine, partially thanks to the growing home computer business. My first PC was a Tandy 1000EX with a built-in 5 1/4" floppy disk drive, bought at RadioShack. We had a store open up locally in Oxford, and...

We might be far from the tropics, but the temperature sure has felt downright tropical here in Maine (and across much of the nation) over the last few weeks. While this story started as a bit of a head-scratcher, it ended up as a great big tear-jerker (in a good way.) Last month, the Old Town Police Department made a middle-of-the-night rooftop rescue. Cloudy with Showers and Storms, Summer-Like Heat on the Way
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good Thursday morning everyone! It’s a gloomy start with showers advancing close to the region. Those of us who may have been able to catch a few glimpses of the sun between the clouds may notice a bit of a haze. That is because we do have some smoke travel associated with wildfires in Canada. The good news is that it has had a tough reaching the surface due to the presence of moisture in the atmosphere resulting in little to no impact to our air quality.
