Woman accused of using veterinarian husband’s euthanasia drugs to poison him
MADISON, WI -- A 51-year-old Wisconsin woman has pleaded no contest to a charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety after she allegedly poisoned her husband multiple times in 2022. According to WLUC-6, prosecutors accused Amanda Chapin of poisoning the man at least three times from July 2022 and August 2022.
Humidity drops with a few showers Wednesday
Tuesday was the most humid day of the year so far when dew points rose into the upper 70s in a lot of communities. It wasn't the hottest day of the year for temps in the upper 80s and low 90s but it was for what it felt like outside. The peak heat index values in a lot of communities reached the upper 90s and the 100s. It was by far the hottest feeling day of the year with heat indices reaching 107* in Kenosha and in the 100s in a lot of our southern counties.
Basketball: Local coaches among those that are backing shot clock
Basketball coaches at Verona are proponents of the shot clock and were disappointed when the WIAA rejected implementing it for nonconference games in the 2025-26 season. The WIAA Board of Control voted 6-4 against using a proposal for a 35-second shot clock during the 2025-26 season for nonconference games if both teams agreed to it.
