DHS provides access to fresh produce for Dane County seniors
MADISON, Wis. -- The Dane County Department of Human Services announced Tuesday that over $30,000 is available for older residents to purchase Wisconsin-grown fruit, vegetables, and herbs at farmers' markets and farm stands.
College catch-up: Adam Slager slated for big role with Marquette lacrosse
Resume: 2022 Stoughton High School graduate and faceoff specialist Adam Slager posted a .558 faceoff percentage (43-of-77) in his redshirt freshman season with the Marquette men’s lacrosse team. Slager also added 22 ground balls and had one assist for the Golden Eagles. He played behind fellow faceoff specialist and graduate student Luke Williams, who was a All-Big East second-team selection. Slager is expected to serve as the Golden Eagles’ top faceoff specialist next season.

Basketball: Stoughton coaches among those in state that are backing shot clock
Basketball coaches at Stoughton are proponents of the shot clock and were disappointed when the WIAA rejected implementing it for nonconference games in the 2025-26 season. The WIAA Board of Control voted 6-4 against using a proposal for a 35-second shot clock during the 2025-26 season for nonconference games if both teams agreed to it.

(AP) — A counselor at Wisconsin’s troubled youth prison has been declared brain-dead following a fight with a 16-year-old inmate, the county coroner said Wednesday, less than three weeks after prosecutors filed criminal charges against a warden and multiple staffers in connection with two maximum security inmates’ deaths.
Wisconsin women's basketball adds Alba Martin Mesa, a point guard from Spain, to roster
MADISON – The Wisconsin women’s basketball team rounded out its roster for the upcoming season with a point guard. On Wednesday, coach Marisa Moseley announced the signing of Alba Martin Mesa, a 5-foot-6 freshman point guard from Spain. She comes to UW from SPAR Gran Canaria, where she averaged 14 points, six assists and three steals per game last season.
