The USDA is making it possible for families to have summer meals delivered to rural areas.

USDA is making SUN Meals more accessible! If you live in a rural community where SUN Meals are hard to access, you may be eligible to get SUN Meals To-Go. This means you can get summer meals for your children picked up or delivered to your home at no additional cost to you.

SUN Meals To-Go are nutritious meals for kids and teens during the summer season.

Who is Eligible to receive SUN Meals To-Go?

In places where SUN Meals To-Go is offered, it's available to any child aged 18 and under, and no applicationis required. You can check to see where SUN Meals To-Go is available and find pick-up locations where you live using the USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder.

Per the USDA websit, the site finder has data for the following states: AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV. If your state is not included in this list, please check back. The site finder adds new participating states every Friday throughout the summer.

In addition to eat-on-site Summer Meals, you can use the site finder to find pick-up locations for places where SUN Meals To-Go is offered. Please keep in mind, that the website does not list sites offering meal delivery for SUN Meals To-Go. Eligible families will need to contact the site directly or your state agency to explore additional meal service options that may be available where you live.

SUN Meals are available across the U.S., and the new SUN Bucks grocery benefit is available to eligible kids in many states and some tribal nations.
