Pennsylvania governor’s office apologizes for ‘mistaken’ WWE WrestleMania statement
Despite some confusion that was created this weekend, WWE WrestleMania won’t be returning to Philadelphia in 2026. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro created that confusion when, in a social media Q&A video, he listed WrestleMania among the events Philadelphia would be hosting in 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States. The video has since been deleted, and a spokesperson for the governor issued a statement clarifying that WrestleMania 42 will not be held in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania gets $20 million in uncashed checks — hard part is finding owners

Fatal shooting investigation underway in Crawford-Roberts neighborhood
Share Share Just before 8 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Marion Street along the Crawford-Roberts and Bluff neighborhood border for a 10-round ShotSpotter alert. Arriving responders located three victims with gunshot wounds in the street. One adult male was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in grave condition. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital a short time later. A second adult male victim and the third victim, an adult female, were both transported in critical condition with significant injuries. Both were immediately taken into surgery. Witnesses describe some kind of altercation taking place on Fifth Avenue before an adult male actor opened fire on the three victims. Statements indicate the actor then fled the scene on foot, heading north on Vine Street toward Colwell Street. The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene, including recovered shell casings and all available video footage from area cameras. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.

Riverhounds settle for gut-wrenching draw at Indy
A late goal against turned a potentially inspirational Pittsburgh Riverhounds victory into a 1-1 draw against the Indy Eleven on Saturday night. The Riverhounds played most of the game down a man after Pat Hogan was sent off in the fifth minute. Still, Danny Griffin scored on a volley from the front of the net in the 73rd minute to give the Hounds a 1-0 lead.
